At Diakonia & Co., our story begins with a simple yet powerful calling: to walk in the way of love.

Inspired by Ephesians 5:2, “Walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God,” we believe fragrance carries a deeper purpose than simply filling a space. Throughout Scripture, scent is woven into some of the most beautiful moments of worship, devotion, and the presence of God.

From the very beginning, offerings were described as a “pleasing aroma” to the Lord (Genesis 8:21). God gave specific instructions for sacred incense set apart as holy (Exodus 30:34–38), and in the New Testament, Christ’s sacrifice is described as a fragrant offering. As believers, we are even called the “aroma of Christ” in the world (2 Corinthians 2:15).

What we love most is that fragrance is not something you see—it is something you experience. It lingers. It fills a space. It leaves an impression long after it arrives. In much the same way, the love and presence of God quietly transform hearts and lives.

Some of the most tender moments in Scripture are connected to scent. When Mary anointed Jesus with costly perfume, the fragrance filled the entire house (John 12:3), becoming a beautiful picture of wholehearted love, worship, and surrender. Throughout Song of Solomon, fragrance is also used to represent beauty, identity, and love—something precious, meaningful, and treasured.

These biblical truths became the foundation for Diakonia & Co.

The name Diakonia comes from the Greek word meaning “to serve.” Service is at the heart of everything we do—service to the Lord and service to every person who welcomes our products into their home. What began as a desire to create beautiful fragrances quickly became something much greater: an opportunity to glorify God through craftsmanship, excellence, and intentional living.

Diakonia & Co. is more than a fragrance company—it is an offering unto God. Every product is created as an act of worship, surrender, and devotion to Him. Our mission is to craft fragrances with eternal purpose—scents that do more than smell beautiful, but serve as gentle reminders of truth, hope, peace, and the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Every candle, perfume, and home fragrance is 100% handmade in Tennessee and crafted in small batches with great care and intentionality. We believe the smallest details matter because they reflect a Creator who is deeply intentional in all He does.
