Throughout Scripture, fragrance isn’t just a small detail. It’s a beautiful, meaningful thread woven into worship, devotion, and the presence of God. From the very beginning, offerings are described as a “pleasing aroma” to the Lord (Genesis 8:21), and God even gives specific instructions for sacred incense set apart as holy (Exodus 30:34–38).
In the New Testament, it becomes even more personal. Christ’s sacrifice is called a “fragrant offering” (Ephesians 5:2), and we, as believers, are described as carrying the “aroma of Christ” wherever we go (2 Corinthians 2:15). I love that because fragrance isn’t about being overwhelming or loud, it’s about presence. It’s something you may not see, but you feel it. It lingers and it speaks.
Some of the most tender moments in Scripture are tied to scent. When Mary anointed Jesus with costly perfume, the fragrance filled the entire house (John 12:3). It’s such a picture of wholehearted, poured-out love and devotion. Even in Song of Solomon, fragrance is tied to identity, beauty, and love. It’s described as something precious and deeply meaningful (Song of Solomon 1:3).
All throughout the Bible, scent is connected to offering, love, and the nearness of God. That’s where our heart behind this comes from. It’s not random or just aesthetic. It’s rooted in something deeper. A reminder that even the smallest details, like fragrance, can carry purpose, beauty, and reflect the presence of something so much greater.

The name Diakonia comes from the Greek word meaning “to serve,” and service is at the core of everything we do... service to the Lord, and service to every person who welcomes our products into their home or space.
